Weekend: Pioneers and Trucks

Apart from Automotive Heritage Days, This weekend there will be two events that are worth highlighting. On the one hand, between Friday and Sunday there will be the commemoration of the centenary of the I Grand Prix of Spain, organized by the RACE Foundation at the Real Sitio de San Ildefonso, in Segovia. On the other hand, the 2nd Meeting of the Spanish Pegaso Association will be held, which will bring together around seventy classic trucks in Albacete.

Let's go by parts. The centenary of the I Grand Prix of Spain - run in 1913 - has hardly been publicized, but it will bring together some thirty cars before 1918. It will be one of the rare opportunities to see the pioneers in motion, who will have to face tests as tough as the ascent to Puerto de Navacerrada. Here you have the list of entries, most of them prior to World War I:

Seventy trucks of all ages are not seen, far from it, every day ... (For Alberto and son)

Macro concentration of trucks

From the 2nd Meeting of the Spanish Pegaso Association we have some more information. Thanks to your large organizational forum, we have been able to know that between Friday and Sunday about seventy classic trucks (!) will be concentrated in the surroundings of Albacete.

Owners of vintage 'heavy duty' vehicles are true sufferers, only in a relatively short time being recognized for the tremendous work of historic preservation they carry out.

Therefore, this could be an unbeatable opportunity to soak up the nueva hobby, to learn more about some machines whose importance was crucial for the development of our country. We also leave you the program and, below, the location of the Parada Brothers workshops:
