[dropcap] E [/ dropcap] Last weekend took place AutoClassico Porto -Oporto for Spanish-speakers-, a Portuguese fair organized by the Spanish company Eventos del Motor, which was attended by around 35.000 people. With a space of approximately 40.000 square meters and capacity for 300 exhibitors, it is one of the largest classic vehicle shows in Portugal.
En AutoClassico Porto Some high-voltage automotive parts were exhibited, such as the first car from the neighboring country, a Panhard & Levassor from 1895 that usually lives in the Museum of Transport and Communications in Porto or the Fiat Type 1 from 1909 contributed by the famous Caramulo Museum.
Among the most prominent cars were also the Mercedes 190 SL, the Citroën DS, the Jaguar E-Type Low Drag by the Galician restorer Juan Lumbreras, the BMW Isetta or the Ford Mustang selection, among others.
As usual, they proceeded to celebrate various anniversaries: those of the Peugeot 402, 403, 204 and 604, which are 80, 60, 50 and 40 years old, respectively; the 60 years of the FIAT 600, the 105 years of Alfa Romeo and the 50 and 60 years of the MGA and MGB GT.

AutoClassico: Covered parking and driving stars
As a great novelty for this thirteenth edition, we must highlight the opening of a pavilion so that visitors who come with a classic can park for free. Pavilion number 6, covered, with about 8.000 m2 and guarded by security personnel, more than fulfilled its mission.
Another focus of the show was the celebration of the Porto Motorshow, which had 66 pilots -juha kankkunen was the guest star-, and it was held in pavilions 4 and 5 of Exponor, the fairground of the Portuguese city. Also under cover, and with the stands overflowing, the pilots were able to demonstrate their skill on a circuit prepared to make the greatest filigrees.

AutoClassico Porto is not only one of the largest classics shows in Portugal, but also in the Iberian Peninsula: Its figures for space, exhibitors and visitors are similar to those of the largest Spanish fairs and the cars on display are not far behind. Also, I personally think the staging is better.
If we combine all this with a very attractive city from a tourist point of view and at a general admission price of 10 euros, AutoClassico Porto becomes a firm candidate to receive us next year.
