Drive all over the world it is no small thing. Do it in a Ford Model T 100 years is an impressive challenge, and that is exactly what Dirk and Trudy Regter are trying to do.
The Regters, Dutch, began their epic journey in the summer of 2012. The couple covered 22.000 kilometers in 180 days during the first leg of the journey, which took them from their home in the Dutch town of Edam to Cape Town, South Africa.
In 2013, the couple crossed the United States and Canada, traveling 22 states and 28.000 kilometers during 180 days of travel. In 2014 they covered another 26.000 kilometers through South America in another 180 days. So far, the intrepid couple has traveled almost 80.000 kilometers visiting and supporting various projects promoted by the international organization and child aid SOS - Children's Villages. During 2016 and 2017 they plan to continue their journey through New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia and India, crossing the Himalayas to China, through Mongolia and back to Holland crossing Central Europe… It takes courage! (And hobby;)!)
