El Goodwood Revival 2024 It is already underway, a new edition in which the best racing cars and motorcycles from the period between 1948 and 1966 will compete on the extremely fast English track. A circuit whose original layout has been maintained, unchanged, including the chicane on the straight that was added in 1952 and which usually provides some of the most striking images of the weekend.
The exclusive event It starts today, Friday, and will run until Sunday, September 8., with almost non-stop action on the track. Of course, the cars compete separately in different categories, from GT to prototypes and Grand Prix cars. There is also a class with GP cars and voiturettes from the 1930s to 1951, as well as one for children with pedal-powered Austin J40s. Let us remember that, this year, all participants will use sustainable fuels.
Unlike the Festival of Speed, the Goodwood Revival is much more focused on the classicsIn which Everyone has to go in period costume, including commissioners, journalists, photographers… In this way, the weekend becomes a true journey through time in an event that has no equal in the world. In addition, this year The original Tyrrell team workshop will be inaugurated, which was going to be demolished and Lord March decided to preserve it by moving it to his estate.
