In the heart of the Pyrenees-Atlantiques region and just 25 minutes from the border, the association 'Soupapes et Pistons' has taken the initiative to organize the first and largest Basque automobile festival, the motorcycle and the old commercial vehicle.
With the intention of establishing it as one of the great events in the Basque Country, its organizers intend to transcend the framework of the fan community to make known to the general public the passion and defense of automobile heritage.
People who came to this first edition of the Hasparren festival were able to enjoy machines such as Gordini, Alpine, Abarth or Autobleu, dressed by bodybuilders such as Karmann or Pininfarina, among others; and in addition to numerous youngtimers, as well as a large free space for exhibitors and vendors. There were 1000 m2 for these and an outdoor parking of another 5000 m2 enabled for the reception of all kinds of classics.
In this demonstration that pretends to be friendly, homage was paid to models that have permeated French memory, such as the 2cv, Traction Avant, 4cv, Floride, 404, Aronde and 203 in terms of cars; and also Velosolex, Motobécame, Peugeot, Terrot, Vespa and Lambretta when it comes to motorcycle.
Registration was free with a commemorative plaque-rally for attendees and free entry for attendees. A good chance to be able to admire French brands and models that in our parts it is difficult to see. Briefly, if you live in the northeast, we recommend it for next year!
