The town of Viladrau has always shown a strong connection with the motor world and its sport over time. Has been cradle of great motor legends, cradle of great events and pilots. For this reason, it has inaugurated the monographic exhibition «Viladrau, 100 Years of Motor» permanently which will make a journey through history through photographs, documents, vehicles, objects and explanatory panels.
The exhibition is an initiative of the Viladrau City Council, which has seen in its motor legacy one more reason to promote its past, its present and also its future. This City Council has settled the exhibition in the Espai Montseny. Many of the objects that are housed in the exhibition have been loaned by the protagonists of the different sports eras.
Exhibition is divided into five areas that review the 100 years of competitions that included events such as the Autumn Rally, the Circuit de les Guilleries of 1935 or the great activity that later the All-Terrain lived.
Its inauguration was on January 31st and living legends from the motor world attended such as Antonio Bofill, Javier Portabella and Oriol Puig Bultó (trial), Jordi Permanyer (Montesa), Narcís Casas (All Terrain), Jordi Sirera (characters), Ignasi Par y Pilar Grau (photography and journalism), or Josep Maria Bellot (rallies).
