When a great event is repeated with a certain frequency, it usually becomes a great classic. And in that process is the Sobarzo Classics Concentration, whose seventh edition was held in Cantabria a week ago.
On June 28, the VII Concentration of Classic Cars took place in the small town of Sobarzo, which brought together more than 260 vehicles from Cantabria and the neighboring areas of Asturias, the Basque Country and the north of Castilla-León.
Above expectations
The morning started lively from very early on, with the setting up of a huge tent that covered a varied market of spare parts, miniatures and miscellaneous merchandising related to the automotive world. Likewise, the competition for railway pots was held.
It didn't take long for the first vehicles to arrive, which were parked in a field prepared for this purpose.
Among all the registered classics we can highlight manufacturers such as Studebaker, Panhard, Mercedes, Renault, SEAT… In a short time the arrival of the different participants filled the reserved space and another campaign had to be enabled where more vehicles waited to be observed and photographed by the many astonished visitors.
Who Said Rain?
The morning, which had started out as sunny, became cloudy and many of those present remembered the torrential rain they had suffered the previous year ...
But this year nothing spoiled the party. A little later than the scheduled time, around 11:30 in the morning, the route prepared by the surrounding towns began and, later, the cars were once again exposed in the fields.
After lunch and after the awards ceremony, this concentration of vintage vehicles was concluded, which year after year becomes a special date for lovers of four wheels.
