In Video: Ayrton Senna and the Honda NSX

In the mid 80's Honda began to develop a sports car that equaled or rather surpassed the performance of the Ferrari V8. At the height of 1990, a brand new mid-engined two-seater coupe in aluminum came to the dealerships to stand up to the prancing horse and above at a more affordable price.

Its engine was a VTEC V6 of 3 liters and 275 hp, also in aluminum and that over the years would become a slightly more powerful 3.2. The light ensemble soon had a targa version to enjoy outdoors, until production ceased in 2005. Before, in 2002, the NSX received a facelift.

Apart from what has been said, the really important thing about Honda NSX of the first generation (the second was launched last year), is that it was co-developed and tuned by the fearsome Ayrton senna, who then was in charge of the team of the Japanese brand of Formula 1. And it is that, apart from the racing cars of the premier class, there is probably no other tourism that identifies as much with the late Brazilian champion as the NSX.

We leave you a couple of Videos of man and machine, the first fresh from the oven and the second a well-known traveler. Good weekend! (Via: Carbuzz)
