From December 8 to 10, the emblematic hall returns, seeking to recover its former splendor. There is no shortage of ingredients.

All the details of the new edition of the AutoClassic of Alcañiz, a room that recovers its original spirit. Starting by The ubication, since the so-called Alcañiz Classic Vehicle Fair will be held in the renovated fairgrounds of the Teruel town. Since this year, The organization is carried out by Expo Motor Events, which is also behind ClassicMadrid.

This XXVI edition will have about 75 exhibitors which will occupy an exhibition area of almost 5.000 square meters. It is expected that there will be a hundred vehicles for the public to enjoy. In addition, there will also be a Car Garage, a space dedicated to the sale and purchase of classic vehicles between individuals. An area also designed so that the youngest can have access to the world of classics.

Among the many activities planned, we focus on two special exhibitions. The first of them will be dedicated to those remembered Alpine manufactured in the FASA Renault factory in Valladolid. The brand was founded by the craftsman Jean Rédelé in 1955 in Dieppe (France) and began its journey modifying cars such as the Renault 4CV for competition. Its first own model was the A106, which had a glass body.

In Valladolid, the Alpines had their own production line, whose responsibility was, until production ceased in 1978, the engineer D. Francisco Conde. Total, 1.904 units of the A108 and A110 models were manufactured, in six different versions that included a convertible of the first. The most successful was the A110 1300, of which 908 examples were assembled between 1971 and 1976. The 1600 did not arrive in our country, but there was a 1400 that equipped the mechanics of the Renault 5 Copa.

Today, those Alpines are pieces of great relevance in private collections and, without a doubt, a delight to the eyes and memories of all automobile enthusiasts, especially those from a city as knowledgeable as Alcañiz. AutoClassic to celebrate its history with a multi-unit exhibition of different versions, which will serve to revive the history of the models manufactured by FASA.

There is a second point of interest, in this case focused on one of the most charismatic motorcycles in history. To celebrate the centenary of BMW Motorrad, Alcañiz will resort to the striking BMW K1. It is a motorcycle that surprised everyone, because it represented a radical change to what the Bavarian brand had done until then. With its enormous size, its color and its radical and striking appearance, it posed a real challenge to the increasingly powerful Japanese brands.

They were manufactured practically seven thousand units of a motorcycle that has gone down in history and that arouses growing interest among fans and collectors. At AutoClassic and thanks to the collector Javier Lambán, you can enjoy a selection of units. Units of the most different colors as it could not be otherwise when we talk about the BMW K1.

I started in the magazine Coches Clásicos in its beginnings, going on to direct it in 2012, the year in which I also took charge of Clásicos Populares. Throughout these almost two decades of my professional career, I have worked in all types of media, including magazines, radio, the web and television, always in formats and programs related to the engine. I am crazy about the classics, Formula 1 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
