[su_dropcap style = »light» size = »2 ″] M [/ su_dropcap] my name is Sergio Calleja CARcedo, I was born in Vitoria-Gasteiz in 1982 and my parents say that the first word I spoke was tractor. With this background, it is not surprising that since I was little I began to save the car magazines that my uncles Olegario and Alvaro passed me. On many occasions they were destined for the trash, but I kept them neatly under the bed.
As a teenager I discovered the classic magazines that made me decide to study something related to cars, so I trained as a Senior Automotive Technician. While I was studying in the morning and training in the afternoons to run marathons, I had to alternate an early morning job and a weekend job. Everything to be able to buy my first car.
Over the years I have been able to share my passion for cars with my other hobbies: traveling and photography. Since the first national fairs that I attended with my first generation digital camera, I have evolved to travel through half of Europe visiting fairs, rallies, museums, collections, exhibitions, factories and circuits. As a curiosity I collect license plates, as well as magazines, sticker albums and books, especially sports cars.
Despite the fact that this hobby may have a reputation for being elitist, I have been able to meet a multitude of people from all walks of life. From that older man who shows the car that his father opened and that he keeps with all the affection in the world in the warehouse of his town; to the collector who opens the door of his ship and tells you the story of how with hard work he achieved the dream for which he fought all his life. Going through the one who sets up his stand at fairs, the one who organizes an event or the one who writes articles in the magazines. I have had enriching experiences with all of them.
I hope you enjoy my articles and if I can help you in something, here I leave my email.
