The first thing is to thank each and every one of the members and non-members who embarked on the Seat 124 adventure and attended the National Holiday. Also to the entire organization of the event as well as to the guide cars Delegate Emilio and his wife Yoana and the Board of Directors. We also want to thank all the authorities for their collaboration in this great event: the Salamanca Police, the Mobility Councilor, the Mayor, the Councilor for Citizen Protection, Traffic and Transport, and Salamanca Tourism workers, the Director from the Museum of Salamanca, to the director of the Hotel Resort Doña Brígida, to the Alba de Tormes Town Hall, to the Guijuelo Town Hall, and to all the companies where we visit. Thanks also to the DGT and the Territorial Delegation of Salamanca of the Junta de Castilla y León.
It has been a fight of a year and a half, and the third time is the charm. Well, on the fourth. Since there have been two attempts by Nacional in 2020, Bilbao and then Salamanca. And then we held the 4st Virtual National Concentration that encouraged us all and the fourth, on the 24th of XNUMX, because the great event arrived, we all wanted to see each other and see the machines.
From what everyone says, the press, TV, radio, members, non-members and participants, it has been a complete success. We really continue with the good work of all the Nationals, there is always some fault but in general they always go well, or very well. Better because behind there is a great job. We have even been told by very important personalities of the Salamanca motor sport that it is the best and largest concentration of classics that has ever been made in Salamanca. I do not know if it will be so bad but we appreciate your words, they also indicate that it has been the first great event in the Plaza Mayor of Salamanca since the beginning of the Pandemic.
154 Seat 1430-124-124 Sport vehicles have been registered. Some last minute cancellation and also several who came without warning and did not register and others who were still ill for surgery appeared the same to greet us without registering, because the important thing is to see the great family 124, so we can affirm that we have been more 150 Seat 1430, 124 and 124 Sport.
The concentration began on Saturday, September 4 at 9 am in the Plaza Mayor, but it really did it for many of the participants on Wednesday or Thursday, at the Hotel **** Resort Doña Brígida, since more and more participants arrive. days before and stay a few days later to enjoy even more the company of the 124 and their drivers. It is the great National Holiday, and also this time we were celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Seat 124 Club and the 50th Anniversary of the Seat 124 Sport, which we postponed from 2020 to 2021, but we couldn't stop celebrating, all were congratulations, in this Sea of bad news is always good a joy like this. We also help economically with Tourism in the towns where we go, more than 124 rooms occupied, about 300 people, for more than two days.
Starting at 9:10 a.m. we started the registrations without stopping until just 10:30 as we had scheduled, it really was the verification of the registrations already made in advance, but it always takes time because we also always give so many gifts that only that delays the registration, this time we are giving away 6 gifts: A magnificent JBL Bluetooth speaker, and a large travel and sports bag with an embroidery of a 124 Sport 1600 (Anniversary) for all those registered in due time and form, and for all also a light emergency, the first homologated, the only rechargeable and of the only two that reach 2 km of vision distance, for the safety of our participants, also a 25th Anniversary Seat 124 Sport keyring, another keyring of a Targa rim, as well as Club Anniversary T-shirts with a Seat 124 Sport 1600 and another 124 Sport 1800, in addition to the precious metallic number, so there was something for all tastes, ages and gender.
We exhibited the vehicles in the Plaza Mayor of Salamanca, which did not enter, for that we had another Plaza de Salamanca, specifically the Plaza del Mercado Viejo. Thanks to the organization and the good work of the Local Police of Salamanca we managed to put many Seat 124 very close in the delimited area. The participants behaved very well and all with masks and keeping their distances, as well as using the gel that the organization had made available to them.
We begin the scheduled visits at 10:30 am, in small groups to comply with the capacity and safety regulations. The Salamanca guides gave us a 2-hour tour showing us everything, and explaining the story with curiosity and joy, we also thank the authorities.
At 13:24 p.m. we delivered the commemorative plaque in gratitude to the Salamanca City Council, the Mayor and the Councilor for Citizen Protection, Traffic and Transport, Mr. Fernando Carabias Acosta, who also had a 124, and remembered it with pleasure. We also spoke and emphasized the mobility of classic and historical cars to separate them from the rest and can circulate through the city of Salamanca, and we confirmed that they will take these classics into account so that they can circulate making them historical or of the More opportune way, so that these jewels can be seen and enjoyed by everyone at any time of the year, which we deeply appreciate.
At 13:35 p.m. we collected everything and at 13:40 p.m., as it was in the Itinerary, we began the parade of these Seat 124 models through the Salamanca catwalk, where the police gave us magnificent support and people made the corridor along the Plaza Mayor and the continuous streets to see the departure and the passing of this multicolored parade of the national motorsport stars.
Apotheosis we could say, we continued towards Alba de Tormes where the City Council had left us a street to expose the vehicles, which we fully occupied and we needed some more, right there we made the food at the Alameda restaurant, almost without a break After lunch visiting Alba de Tormes, with the guides who came to pick us up at the restaurants themselves, they were great. We did the visit to both the Alba de Tormes Castle, as well as the Basilica, and the Church, with great explanations and impressive views from the Tower.
At the end we went with the guide cars, which at all times guided us, 10 Seat 124 Partners who were our guide and support throughout the journey, until we reached Salamanca again to visit the Salamanca Automotive Museum this time, we exposed the vehicles in the Old Market Square and in the two pedestrian streets where we had been granted permits, and we almost did not enter despite the fact that some participants who had already seen the Museum or were tired went directly to the Hotel, although we remember that the Museum always has some new novelty and deserves to see it one thousand four hundred and thirty times more.
At 20:24, all the museum visitors went to the hotel, we had more than an hour for rest and cleaning, and free time, the action Seat 124 does not have a brake, it is 24 or 48 of Seat 124.
Already at 22 pm in bridge we began the dinner, while the Jury counted the votes of the participants to the most beautiful and competition trophies, for each of the models, and the Jury only decided the most original trophy of factory, and the most original restored of each model, and reviewed who the two arrived from further afield, the oldest and the youngest of each model, hard work of the jury that often runs out of dinner, something that some do not They appreciated it, they do not realize it, and from here we thank the Jury made up of Members who volunteer, plus two members of the Board of Directors, plus the Zone Delegate.
The gala dinner in a great and wonderful room of the Hotel **** Doña Brigida, a room with up to 1000 diners where we were close to 300, with which the distances were fulfilled at 124%, after the dinner the Board of Directors delivered the Awards by the Jury, photos were taken and a plaque of gratitude was also given to the Delegate of Salamanca Emilio for the great collaboration in this National, on his behalf and on behalf of his wife Yoana, who works like him, and the Guiding Partners that helped, to the great success of the Concentration.
About 1:00 a.m. we finished, rather about 1:24 a.m. and each one to their rooms, so that on Sunday they would have breakfast in two groups based on capacity, to leave the hotel together at 9:30, there they some 124 who were not registered approached and we allowed them to join the procession. With the guide cars we arrived at Guijuelo, where the Local Police were waiting for us, who helped us to place and expose the vehicles in the Plaza Mayor of Guijuelo and also in Guardia Civil street, near the visit, where we indicated that those who wanted to leave before Well, they came from very far, such as Mallorca, Barcelona, Galicia, Asturias, etc., they went there and the first ones would also show up for the visit, we made the visit in several groups and these divided into two, one who carried out the visit and explanation and the other who carried out the explanation.
