Retromobile: The Seat 1430 that seduced us in the early '70s
The Seat 1430 will turn 50 in a few months and the Retromóvil Madrid fair, the last remarkable event of the year for classic vehicles, prepares an important tribute to the model, the first to be held in Spain on the occasion of the anniversary.
It was one of the important cars of the firm for Spaniards who were looking for more power in those seventies, with a production of just over 250.000 units in just 6 years, and in general it was one more step than the Seat 124, despite being very similar as it was based on its Fiat counterpart .
The Seat 1430, A denomination that alluded to its cylinder capacity, it was presented at the Barcelona Motor Show in 1969 and measured 4 meters in length, with a weight of almost 1.000 kilos. Later, 1.600 and 1.800 cc special engines came onto the market.
There were also special versions and variants of various body builders and workshops, such as Serra, Ddauto or Inducar, which today reach good sales prices.
Retromobile has reserved a stand of 250 m2 for this party around the emblematic car, with the exhibition of various units, with different engines and finishes, in collaboration with the National Club Seat 1430, 124 and 124 Sport.
In addition, a concentration of this model has been scheduled for Saturday, December 1, at 10,00:XNUMX am, so that fans who come on that day can see them in the classic car park.
