Exhibition it will finally reach 16.000 square meters by occupying the entire pavilion, plus another neighboring area, which had to be incorporated due to the high demand for land from exhibitors, some of whom have been on the waiting list.
To this are added the 15.000 m / 2 parking for classics, with capacity for 800 units, as well as the parking lot for concentrations, which has about 2.500 m / 2 more and space for 124 units.
About 200 exhibitors will meet in this edition, in which about 30.000 people are expected at the fairgrounds, where the general admission will be 12 euros.
Unique models and celebration of Ferrari and Porsche 356
The Hall will host an outstanding stand as a tribute to the Spanish coachbuilder Pedro Serra, that he created in his Pullman Workshops, in Barcelona, bodywork of all types and that he worked on the most renowned chassis of the XNUMXth century, including brands such as Pegaso, Bentley, Ferrari or Aston Martin.
The space will feature a selection of a dozen representative units of his work, such as four very different units of the Seat 1400 B Cabriolet, an exclusive Clúa microcar, a Dodge Boulevard or a Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith, on loan from the Museum of Salamanca. among other models.
Two of the stars of the fair are a Spanish-Swiss Alfonso XIII competition and a Bugatti Brescia, also racing, which are two of the most appreciated pieces that will be exhibited and that in Spain have hardly been seen. The model that bears the name of King Felipe VI's great-grandfather is a 45 hp sports car from 1910 which the monarch, enthusiast and promoter of the automobile industry, allowed to use his name. It is an exceptional piece and in full use.
El Bugatti brescia it is a rarity hardly contemplated in our country, so it is a unique opportunity to see it at this fair in Madrid. This car, contemporary of the previous one, had a successful sporting life, based on its 4-cylinder engine and almost 1.500 cc, with 45 hp.
Another of the main attractions will be the celebration of the birth of the mythical brand Ferrari 70 years ago, with an exhibition of various models of Italian sports cars, which so many fans and followers have among the fans. On the stand of the Italian brand will highlight impressive models: F40 LM Michelotto, 275 GTB / 2 6C, 365 GTB / 4 Daytona, testarossa, Dino 264 GT or 330 GT 2 + 2, among others, that guarantee the spectacular nature of this area.
Likewise, the anniversary of the 70th anniversary of the Porsche 356, one of the most admired and iconic vehicles in history. The organization, in collaboration with the Porsche Club España, has reserved a prominent space that will house different bodies and models of this motor icon. At the stand of the German brand you can see various bodies of the Porsche 356, one of the emblematic cars in the history of sports cars, especially the Speedster.
Seat, Alpine and Volvo
The organization has also planned to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Seat 124 with a large stand, where, in coordination with the National Club of Seat 1430, 124 and 124 Sport, various models of its range will be exhibited, since it was manufactured in sedan, family and coupe versions, with different mechanics and finishes. In addition, the club has promoted a national concentration on Saturday 16 at 10,00:124 am in front of the entrance to the Retromóvil Madrid pavilion with the aim of gathering at least XNUMX units of the mythical model, which will be on display all morning.
Another reference space will be the last tribute of the year to 60th anniversary of the SEAT 600, with the contribution of the SEAT 600 Puerta de Alcalá and Amigos del 600 Comunidad de Madrid clubs. The stand will house representative models of this appreciated car from 1958 to 1973, confirming the presence of practically all the models marketed as standard.
In addition, starting at 10,00:17 am on Sunday 60, a concentration of 600 Seat XNUMX is planned in the Concentration Parking that will provide a great atmosphere of fans and collectors of this popular Spanish utility.
Another tribute of this intense program to be held at the Madrid fair will be the 90th anniversary Volvo brand, which will have a special reserved stand of 144 square meters. For this reason, various emblematic models of the Swedish manufacturer will be on display so that fans can see a representation of the cars of this manufacturer and appreciate their evolution and changes over time.
Finally, this section will feature the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the presentation of the Renault Alpine A110 in Spain, since in June 1967 the Jarama Circuit hosted the presentation of this model, which was manufactured by FASA Renault. On the occasion of the half century that has passed, a prominent stand has been reserved, where various models of this emblematic vehicle will be exhibited.
Another center of interest, in the space of the Catawiki exhibitor, will be the exhibition of the Volvo 480 that in 1986 was acquired by King Emeritus Don Juan Carlos and that soon became the second car of the current King Don Felipe.
Motorcycles in Retromóvil Madrid
More than twenty specific stands from the world of vintage motorcycles will bring spectacularity and a variety of content to the event. From professional exhibitors with motorcycles for sale to others in the commercial area, with parts and spare parts for multiple models. Several clubs have already reserved stands to exhibit their classic motorcycles and carry out promotional activities, and there are the main specialized magazines, which always exhibit a special model.
Among the exclusive units They will include a Werner 2HP, from 1903, purchased by King Alfonso XIII, a Sanglas Trail 500 TT, a Bultaco Matador Biflecha and a Honda Japauto 500 VX, confirming the high level of quality of the classic motorcycling sector in this XV edition.
Other confirmed motorcycles that stand out are several Harley Davidson, with an original 1937 Model W, a 1916 Brooklands Indian Powerplus Racer or a 1930 Rudge TTR Racer, as well as several Indian Chiefs. A 500 Terrot 1947 RGAS with a sidecar, a 600 Zundapp KS 1938 or a 750 Nimbus 1938 will also be the focus of the fans.
Another planned event will be the presentation of the RetroMoto Barcelona Show, the only national fair dedicated exclusively to classic motorcycles, which will reach the third edition in 2018 and which represents its full consolidation.
Cover Garage and other activities
The fair has enabled the Cover Garage space, an area for private owners can market their vehicles, either cars or motorcycles, for free. This initiative is sponsored by the insurance company specializing in classic vehicles Classic Cover and has filled the available space, with 20 vehicles present. Likewise, the Motor Events Forum, a space at the entrance to the fair, will host various activities, such as the presentation of various books from the motor world.
Saturday is going to be an intense day, with the presentation of the book "SEAT, the power of communication", by Óscar Montero (11,00 h.) and the book «Ángel Nieto, the curves of life», by Tomás Díaz Valdés (12,30 pm). In the afternoon, at 16,30 p.m., it will be the turn of "The automobile in the history of Spain", by Ramón Roca, and at 16,30 pm, the book "History of the SIATA Factory in Tarragona", by Jaume Cabot.
