I Retro Auto & Moto Valencia

Eventos del Motor, SL, a company with more than twenty years of experience in the organization of commercial monographs linked to the automotive world and organizer of other classic vehicle competitions in Spain and Portugal, such as RetroBilbao or AutoClássico Porto, will launch between the October 18 and 20 the I Retro Auto & Moto Valencia, Classic and Vintage Vehicle Show.

The place chosen for the development of this show has been Feria de Valencia. Activity It will occupy an area of ​​11.000 square meters and will house more than a hundred exhibitors with several differentiated areas: commercial exhibition of classic vehicles and motorcycles, market area with accessories, parts, spare parts and accessories; and a space reserved for clubs.

According to the organizer, visitors will be able to contemplate a great variety of classic and exceptional vehicles apart from the commercial area. They will be exhibited from a Pegaso Z103 Touring Panoramic, the last series of the Spanish winged horse of which Carrocería Touring made only eight units, to a rare newly imported Argentine Renault 12 Alpine, including the exotic aluminum Panhard Levassor Dyna54.

There will also be parallel activities: this show will pay tribute to the autochthonous motorcycle with a dedicated monograph called “Moto made in Valencia”, in which around thirty units will be shown, some of them unique pieces whose common denominator is being born in Levantine lands.

The stand will be a sample of the small companies and artisans that proliferated in the post-war period and who embarked on the adventure of manufacturing motorcycles in the region. The oldest will be a Baesal moped from 1947 but there will also be motorcycles from brands such as Villof, Inesmo, Silco or BJR of which seven copies will attend.

50th Anniversary Ford GT40, Porsche 911 and more

On the other hand, the multi-time champion Ford GT40 will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year at Retro Valencia. A unit of this mythical athlete The American, who won the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans four times in a row and dethroned Ferrari from the podiums for several years, will be present at the event.

There will be a brief review of the entire history of the model and attendees will be able to see its lines up close with only 40 inches high, from which it gets the name. Equipped with a muscular V8 prepared by Carroll Shelby and tuned on the circuits, it will be one of the rare opportunities to see one of these cars outside the pits.

It will also take place, as has been happening throughout this 2013, the commemoration of the fifty years of the Porsche 911, through seven models exhibited for the occasion.

Fans of racing cars and especially classic cars will find their own space thanks to the collaboration of the Valencian Automobile Federation and different drivers and fans.

Representative models of various sports disciplines such as mountain, rally, circuits, etc. can be seen, with special predominance of events held during the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s of the last century.

Not everything will be static 1: 1 scale cars, as there will also be smaller ones running at full speed. That's what the pilots of slot cars that will have a great track where they can compete with their precious toys, surrounded by the authentic smell of gasoline.

The organization has prepared a space dedicated especially for them that will be complemented by the market for these racing cars that fans will be able to find in the commercial area.

Finally, the clubs, both motorcycles and classic cars, will be one of the main protagonists of Retro Valencia. Around 15 entities will attend the event with their respective stands thanks to the fact that the organization offers them the possibility to participate and carry out their activities for free.

Hours and discounts

The visiting hours of the fair will be on Friday, October 18. from 16 pm to 21 pm, on Saturday, October 19. from 10 a.m. to 21 p.m., and Sunday, October 20. from 10 a.m. to 20 p.m. Those who travel to the Valencian fairgrounds in their vintage cars and motorcycles will have a free covered parking space and discounts of 50% on the ticket price. Other special discounts will be applied to those who travel to the lounge through Renfe, Ave and Iberia.
