What was said in the lead, last Monday we accepted the kind invitation of the Repsol Classic Team to accompany pilots and machines in the take-off of the 2017 season. This year the copper will be beaten mainly in Spanish-Portuguese races Iberian Historic Endurance and in the European organized by the French Peter Auto. Both are events that they already have experience with.
Repsol Classic Team It is one of the few Spanish classic sports teams with an international presence. Their cars are first class, both in their base and in their preparation, something fundamental if you want to be competitive beyond our borders. Exit grills they are intimidating; serve as proof, for example, the chronicle we published on the Jarama Classic.
And what were you 'fine-tuning' last Monday? Well the following: An Alfa Romeo 1750 GTAm, a Giulietta Sprint, an Osca MT4 Biposto Siluro, a Jaguar E-Type, a Lancia Aurelia B20, an Elva MK7 and a Bmw 635 CSi. They are not all the cars in the set, but they are the ones chosen for the first set-up of the year.

Despite its looks this little Alfa is a racing machine

This BMW 635 CSi was undoubtedly the largest car in the team

The weather accompanied and the atmosphere was of camaraderie and hobby. It seems that the Repsol Classic Team endorses the prevailing simplicity in races in the rest of Europe, whereby riders are accessible and enjoy sharing their knowledge with other enthusiasts, no matter where they come from.
Finally, I have to say that the journey also brought some other surprise: The season was opened by an impressive Alfa-Romeo TZ1 parked in the pit lane, followed by a Ferrari Dino 246 and a spectacular Bugatti Brescia. The latter in particular left us completely stunned.
Thank you very much Repsol Classic Team! And good luck in 2017.
Let's take a closer look at this beauty. TZ1, or 'Tubolare Zagato' ...

One of the hallmarks of this Alpha is the rear in 'coda tronca' or cut tail
Next to the barchetta Elva the TZ1 seemed even big
