For fans of the French manufacturer, the Renault collection in Flins is practically the treasure cave. There are more than 650 cars that have formed and are part of the history of the brand, although those on display do not reach a hundred. These are arranged in a U-shaped corridor, with the models in ascending chronological order. That is, we will first find the Renault oldest and then the most modern.
At the very end are the racing cars, including record hunters, rally cars, touring cars and, of course, some of the Formula 1 single-seaters. Here we will see not only Renault cars such as Alonso's RS01 or R25, but also Prost's Williams FW15 or the Benetton B195 of Schumacher. Our sight also inevitably goes to the aerodynamic record hunter Shooting star.
AS IN ITS HEYDAY
Of course, and how could it be otherwise, each and every one of the models exhibited in the Renault collection in Flins are In perfect state of conservation. And it is that the restoration workshop is also located here, that is, the models of the collection and new acquisitions are maintained and repaired right there.
It is a pity that the collection can only be accessed by invitation. That is to say, it is not open to the public and it is not possible to visit it as a museum to use. Something similar happens with SEAT's Nave A-122. At least thanks to these photographs of Renault classic, the work of Yannick Brossard, we will be able to make a review of the history of the brand of the rhombus and see the cars that he treasures in Flins.
