Between the 26th and 28th of May the 4th edition of the Rally Festival Trasmiera-Cantabria, a sporting event that raises passions and not only in Spain.
Indeed, among the more than 150 teams registered There were about 40 foreigners who traveled to the north of our country to enjoy its unique roads and local love of rallying.
Regarding the latter, it must be said that even the autonomous government actively supports the holding of the test. We have been impressed when reading the introduction to the official catalog signed by the president of Cantabria Miguel Ángel Revilla, in which he simply speaks like one more fan (incredible but true!).

RALLYE FESTIVAL DE TRASMIERA, EVERYONE AT HIS PACE
El Trasmiera rally-festival, which is run in the region of the same name and is organized by the Escudería Rallye Legend Cantabria, is a somewhat peculiar rally. And it is that the second word that makes up its name transforms this test into a motor festival in which the roads are closed but the rankings are not given importance.
Each team goes at its own pace, And what a rhythm! Both the video of The Tula Sport that we include as the photos that our dear collaborator unai ona took on Thursday. The crusades are fierce ...

A LOT OF CAR, A WHOLE INTERNATIONAL RALLY
Among the participating machinery there were good jewels among which we highlight a Lancia 037 ex-European champion with Capone / Cresto in 1984, the impressive Renault 5 Maxi Turbo of the driver Gerard de la Casa or the Lancia Stratos brought by an English team.
It was not the only thing that caught our attention, far from it: It was also possible to enjoy a Lancia Fulvia HF, a Ford RS200 or an entire Group B Peugeot 205 T-16, among many others. The group B ... There were about twenty!

A JOURNEY IN TIME TO THE RALLY OF BEFORE
And then there were the many popular classics, both Spanish and foreign -Seat, Volkswagen, Ford, Talbot, etc ... - that did not hesitate to put on a show and make us travel back in time because, honestly, it seemed like a rally of those of 30 or 40 years ago.
Regarding the organization, both coordination and security have seemed very good to us; in short, that the Trasmiera-Cantabria Festival Rally It is a party that you cannot miss next year.
