Late november Alberto Ferreras reported of the imminent modification by Royal Decree of the General Traffic Regulation. Said decree contained a series of articles that raised, as of January 1, 2015, the age necessary to register a vehicle as historic from 25 to 30 years old. Later, and progressively, it would increase even more until reaching 2020 in 35. Among other things, the royal decree also contained a series of considerations regarding regularity rallies that hardened the conditions for their celebration.
Both initiatives sparked debate among fans on and off the net, and in "La Escudería" we tried to expose the possible dangers regarding the issue of antiquity. Well, for reasons unknown to us, the Council of Ministers has not voted on the new regulations, and probably will not do so until after the regional and municipal elections in March 2015, where all political sights have been set since the calendar change. We will be up to date to keep you informed.
