Cannibal Journalism: Videos of Classics Exploding in the Desert

A week ago we observed with horror how Autoblog, one of the most influential digital automotive magazines in the world, found it profitable to blow up older cars. In the presentation of his new weekly series CarBoom !, we could see shatter - along with our hearts - a beautiful Cadillac from the 80s.

Beyond the reprehensible taste for destruction, it makes no sense that a blog of automotive enthusiasts enjoy blowing them up. The fact is not even worthy of generating just one of the episodes that from yesterday we will be able to see every Wednesday. Trigger our hobby it is clearly illogical ...

A part of the problem is, as we talked with our collaborator Alexander palomo a few months ago, in the cannibal journalism, That one gaceterism that always goes fast to maximize the benefits through low quality content, when not directly morbid, and with hardly any contrast.

And the other part is in ... you readers. Digital journalism tends more and more to short and low-relevance content, of the type of 'watch this' several times a day, because it is what the audience demands and what is most profitable. Now, and as a way of expressing our respect for you, we will say that anecdotes must be provided with measure and among other higher quality content. It's what we try to do in 'The Escudería'.

Regardless of our greater or lesser proximity to the 'Telecinco philosophy', We try to consider our social responsibility as information professionals and offer a dose that rightly combines entertainment and training.

At least in theory, that does make sense.

Going back to the terrifying Autoblog videos, which we can't embed, here you have a sample. What do you think? Leave your comments below 😉
