When we talk about Veteran Car Club of Spain We make it the oldest in Spain among those that have never stopped being active. It was born in the late 50s as a section dedicated to older vehicles within the Classic and Veterans Automobile Club. Some time later it became in an independent entity that hasn't stopped since then bring together older classic fans.
Today, They have almost a hundred members, or friends as they themselves call them, who form a most heterogeneous group, since in the Veteran Any owner is welcome, whether he or she has a simple Fiat balilla or a whole Hispanic-Suiza. Throughout the year, they organize routes, visits to museums, outings to solidarity events, salons... Come on, they don't stop.
To live up to its name, approximately half of the activities they organize are for vehicles with a manufacturing date before 1962. What's more, a quarter of its departures are exclusive to pre-war vehicles, that is, from before 1940. The remaining ones accommodate all types of classics, that is, any car over 30 years old. In addition to the different activities, the club also advises its partners when buy, maintain and restore with car.
THE NEW MAGAZINE OF THE VETERAN CAR CLUB OF SPAIN
Last January we learned of the publication of the Veteran's digital magazine, a completely free PDF publication. Under the coordination of David Fernández Migueles, the new publication tries to record all club activities and outings. It includes detailed information from the participants, in addition to being profusely illustrated.
Although perhaps the part that we liked the most is the one rescues old club events, which is still a true journey through time. In the first issue, the 1973 and 1974 editions of the Sofico-Costa del Sol International Rally are reviewed. Here we see routes, participants and even some images that They take us back half a century.
The Veteran's new publication also includes more recent events, such as presence in different classics salons. Likewise, there is a section in which a partner presents his car. From LA ESCUDERÍA we can only applaud this initiative and hope that it is maintained over time. If you want to enjoy the first two issues of the magazine of the Veteran Car Club of Spain, you can make it your web page.
