New magazine: Clásicos Pasión arrives with extensive reports full of data

Quarterly, on paper and with a clear commitment to comprehensive, calm and full of data texts. This is how Clásicos Pasión is presented to us, which also has extensive attention for the history of motoring in Spain, both series and competition. We make you a small presentation of its contents, hoping that this new publication is here to stay.

For years we have been hearing that the days of paper are numbered. That the virtual offers a degree of speed and interaction capable of being ahead of any physical medium. However, the very inertia of events shows how wrong these statements are. And it is that, despite the hubbub of futurism without roots, the truth is that books and magazines continue to have an essential place in the media. In this way, while the digital fulfills the function of putting wide information channels within immediate reach, the physical continues to be reserved for calm reading, the consultation of contrasted data and the necessary bibliographical reference.

Thus, to proclaim the end or the invalidity of this or that support is radical without justification. Since paper and digital fulfill missions that are both necessary and complementary. Something like what happens between radio and podcasts. The book and the electronic book. Or the cinema and the platforms. At this point, it is nice to see how in Spain the editorial panorama referring to classic vehicles is expanding. In fact, we have recently seen the release of Clásicos Pasión. A magazine in A-4 format with quarterly publication and sale through its web page.

As a result of the effort and enthusiasm of its director Álvaro González, the depth of its articles is striking. Some of them with a clear desire to be resources to quote when researching the history of certain models or brands. In that sense, highlights the extension with about 200 pages. Already going for the publication of its second issue after having been successfully released. In addition, reviewing the topics covered in the first two issues, it is good to see the extensive dedication that Clásicos Pasión is giving to the history of national motorsports.

CLASSICS PASSION, A MAGAZINE WITH ARTICLES OF GREAT SCALE

Beyond a careful design or everything related to the graphic component, the inveterate reader of classic vehicles seeks not only extensive information, but also quality information. An aspect that has been taken care of in Clásicos Pasión, being able to contemplate from the first number extensive texts on the history of Hispanic-Suiza or the Alcañiz Circuit. Two basic topics in national motorsports that, in the second number, are complemented by an exhaustive report on the career of Eduardo Barreiros.

Thanks to these contents, Clásicos Pasión is presented to us as a publication where more recurring themes will be mixed with other more specific ones. And it is that, for example, in the first issue we could see a report on Audi's Quattro drive along with another on Reverter's Alpinche. Something that demonstrates that variety, combining referential and well-known themes with much more specific ones that will surely delight all motorsport fans in Spain.

In addition, Clásicos Pasión has made a commitment to introduce content related to motor racing. For this reason, while in the first number we can read all kinds of data about the Lotus 88 for more than twenty pages, in the second we have a careful report on the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI. Two referential legends known by almost all fans, but at the same time are not usually treated with the length and depth of these articles. Wow, and if you've been wanting more mechanical data, in the latest issue you have a complete history of Alfa Romeo Busso engines. And if you want more competition, you have a historical review of the Terramar Racetrack and SEAT's performance in Montecarlo in 1977. In short, a multitude of topics in a magazine that promises to be here to stay. Classics Passion.

Through the news from La Escudería, we will travel the winding roads of Maranello listening to the roar of the Italian V12; We will travel Route66 in search of the power of the great American engines; we will get lost in the narrow English lanes tracking the elegance of their sports cars; We will speed up the braking in the curves of the Monte Carlo Rally and we will even get dusty in a garage while rescuing lost jewels.
