Jaguar unveiled yesterday that will manufacture six official replicas of the E-type Lightweight, the racing version of the iconic sports car from the sixties and seventies.
In February 1963 the British house decided to carry out a series of eighteen gt's competition. It only produced twelve, although it assigned all of the foreseen chassis numbers, thus leaving the door open to a later resurrection of the model. Now, the feline brand is going to finish the job according to the strictest originality.
The best craftsmen will take care of giving life to the definitive Jaguar E: They will mold their austere aluminum bodies, they will install their 3.8-liter 6-cylinder engine. With a block of the same metal and lubrication by dry sump, they will mount your interiors devoid of any comfort.
For its purchase Jaguar will give priority to the collectors of the brand, especially if they are active pilots. If any Latin American or Spanish fan is interested, we recommend that you write to the email address [email protected] and that it is prepared, yes, to face strong competition.
The first of the six units will be ready after the summer, and we will be watching its exit from the time tunnel.
