Gallery: Iso Rivolta find with Madrid license plate

A couple of weeks ago we presented you this Iso Rivolta that had been standing still for decades. For those of you who could not see it in ClassicMadrid, we offer you this complete photo session so that you can enjoy it.

This Iso Rivolta IR 300 It was one of the most sought after cars in the past show ClassicMadrid. The article that we published that same week generated unusual expectation that made many of you come to the stand to check the condition of the car in situ. We know that many of you did not have the opportunity, so before taking the Iso to the top floor of the Crystal Pavilion, we photographed it from top to bottom.

Since we published our article, hardly any more information about the car has transpired. Now it is in the hands of a well-known specialist, although it is still unknown if someone will encourage it to undertake its laborious restoration. Yes we have discovered, thanks to the colleagues of Classics at the wheel, that the car He already made a discreet first exit abroad in Valencia in 2019, looking for a workshop in which to carry out a possible restoration.

In any case, el state of this Iso Rivolta has not changed in recent times and it is preserved as we see in the photographs of this gallery. Whole, but with the signs that the passage of time has left over these decades of parking. It has a long restoration ahead of it, but the car is well worth it.

THE UNITY OF THE KING OF BULGARIA

As we already told you, this unit has an original Madrid license plate, since it was bought by King Simeon of Bulgaria. This, as can be seen in several photos from Winston Goodfellow's book Iso Rivolta: The Men and the Machines, He visited the brand's factory before taking over his unit.

Next, we leave you with all the photographs of the car. First, we must confess that we tried to open the front hood without success. Given the state of the Iso, we did not think it prudent to continue insisting on the possibility of breaking it. Therefore, you will miss the photo of the engine. Not so with the rest of a car that is rewriting new chapters in its history after many years standing still.

I am lucky to have turned my passion into my way of earning a living. Since I left the Faculty of Information Sciences in 2004, I have been professionally dedicated to motor journalism. I started in the magazine Coches Clásicos in its beginnings, going on to direct it in 2012, the year in which I also took charge of Clásicos Populares. Throughout these almost two decades of my professional career, I have worked in all types of media, including magazines, radio, the web and television, always in formats and programs related to the engine. I am crazy about the classics, Formula 1 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
