Bultaco temporary exhibition at the Motorcycle Museum

PRESS RELEASE - Coinciding with the return of the Bultaco brand, which inherits much of the sports and passion philosophy of the historic firm, the Barcelona Motorcycle Museum has wanted to pay tribute to what is possibly the Spanish brand with most charisma ever.

«Bultaco, Motos de Leyenda» is the new temporary exhibition that the Barcelona Motorcycle Museum has opened this afternoon and that can be visited for a year, until November 2015. the 26 most representative models of the legendary brand created by FX Bultó in 1958 which, despite its short productive life - barely 24 years - left an impressive legacy of sporting and commercial successes.

According to Estanislao Soler, president of the Fundación Museo de la Moto, "The exhibition recovers the authentic Bultaco spirit and aims to serve as a bridge between the remembered history and the new stage that the brand is now facing, 32 years after its disappearance."

Rampant trajectory

The exhibition includes mythical motorcycles that marked an entire era, such as the Tralla 101, Lobito, Shrapnel, Streaker, Chispa, Sherpa, Frontera ... and also dedicates a section to the world of competition, where the brand played an important role in all specialties getting 10 world titles and more than 100 national championships from different countries.

Despite addressing a very broad audience, the exhibition incorporates some curiosities that will be highly appreciated by collectors of the brand. This will be the case of the “Taxi”, a Bultaco 200 that Don Paco himself used for his daily trips in Barcelona; and also a Pursang Mk12 that was never sold and that is kept in the same original box with which it was sent in 1978 to the dealer in Holland.

The opening ceremony was attended by former founders and official drivers of the brand, members of the Bultó family, various personalities linked to the motor world and the current team of Bultaco Motors, the company in charge of the new project of the brand that has collaborated in the exhibition and has loaned one of the electric models, the Bultaco Rapitán, in a timely manner.
