The history of the scooter in Spain reaches the Salamanca Automotive History Museum With exposure «Vespa Vs Lambretta: History of the Scooter in Spain» It can be visited from Wednesday, November 26 to February 1, 2015, during the museum's regular hours.

A total of 39 vehicles have been selected, for their technical characteristics, utilities and for which they were developed and special aesthetic forms, as a representation of the scooter in our country.

In this sense, Agustín Sánchez Vega, first deputy mayor of the Salamanca City Council and patron of the Gómez Planche Foundation, explained that visitors will be able to enjoy the meaning of the two great brands of Italian origin that were established in Spain, which were born with the objective of promoting industrial development in our country and in the rest of Europe. Brands that crossed borders and that competed with others at an industrial level such as commercial, Lambrettas and Vespas.

Sánchez Vega has also pointed out that people who come to the Museum "They will have the opportunity to take a journey of more than 70 years, from the presentation for the first time of the first scooter manufactured in Spain to the present day."

In addition to the traditional models, it will be possible to see different types of sidecars of the most characteristic brands and several Vespacar models with different bodies, one of them open so that visitors can recognize its peculiarities.

A unique scooter in the world stands out in the exhibition: It is the prototype of a Lambretta, with a spectacular design and finish that will not leave anyone indifferent. Likewise, sccoter from other brands that were also present, although to a lesser extent in the market, are shown, such as Rieju or Montesa.

Lovers of restoring old vehicles will also have their corner, where they can learn about the restoration process of this peculiar type of vehicle. Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover old advertisements, handcrafted models, miniatures and various accessories used in the daily use of these motorcycles.
