Seat Apprenticeship School: New ways of learning

The attraction of talent and the retention of the best professionals constitute a priority for the growth and improvement of SEAT's competitiveness, hence the importance that the company attaches to the education and training of its workers. For this, it bets on new learning formats that inspire their teams and provide them with experiential and innovative training.

Within the framework of this vision, the company has implemented SEAT Talks, a meeting in which workers are offered a different perspective on socio-economic issues, inviting them to reflect on useful aspects for the present and future of their work. In what was the first day of the initiative, digitalization was the central theme through different inspiring and creative talks.

SEAT Talks is part of the company's EASY strategy, a set of structural projects to help SEAT advance in its digitization and positioning process as a provider of the easiest mobility solutions. Among these, the Human Resources area is developing the project Tiki Taka, that seeks to make easier the way of working in the organization as well as the way in which employees relate to each other.

On the other hand, and taking into account that 24% of the 14.000 SEAT employees consist of millennials, The role of this group as a lever for change in the digital transformation process experienced by the brand is undeniable. Hence the active listening for which SEAT has opted to define new ways of working that fit its preferences.

In line with this strategy, SEAT organized last September a workshop collaborative digital, Facebook based and with young employees up to 27 years of age. The objective was to identify opportunities for improvement in the areas of culture and leadership, development and learning, compensation and performance, and ways of working. The results evidenced the desire of SEAT millennials to work in a totally digital, connected and flexible company, in which space was given to develop autonomy and flexibility, collaborative work, co-creation and co-working were promoted. internal, among others.

SEAT is the largest employer in the sector and one of the largest in the country. In 2015 it contributed to the economic development of Spain with the creation of 90.250 jobs (directly and indirectly). Its activity has a significant drag effect on the business and industrial fabric of the country: for every job created directly by SEAT, a total of 6,5 jobs have been generated in Spain.
