IX Concentration of Classics in Sigüenza: More and more classical

PHOTOS AND TEXT: CLÁSICOS SIGÜENZA CLUB

And it is that nobody wanted to miss the IX anniversary of the Classics Sigüenza Club last June 9, and our Doncel along with 130 other participants and 70 registered vehicles, were able to enjoy this traditional motor festival that year after year is consolidated as one more reference within the calendar of concentrations of classics in the central area of Spain.

Although the day dawned with a low temperature, with the freshness of spring in the city of Sigüenza, it would soon become a magnificent day in which we could enjoy our passion for classic vehicles.

Thus, motorcycles and classic cars, shared space in that beautiful enclosure that is the Alameda in Sigüenza where we could enjoy their bodies and engines, their chrome plates and wheels, and those details that each owner, in a personal and non-transferable way, gives to its classic to make it, if possible, even more exclusive.

From the 30s to the 89 they were the years of birth of the exposed vehicles. From the most exclusive to the most popular, like a Alvis 12/60, austin tempo, the seat 600, 2CV, a Harley Davidson from the 40s and all those vehicles that bring us some nostalgia. Of course, there was a choice, and the view was not enough to admire such unique mounts.

They also enjoyed a sightseeing tour of the city organized by the club and sponsored by our City Council, with live music, and a bar set up for the occasion where they could taste some great appetizers from our sponsor Bar Alameda, Carnicería Sienes and La Granja de Alcuneza restaurant and open bar for drinks until there is time for food, the already famous and exquisite paella where, after replenishing the strength lost during the morning, different prizes were awarded to the most emblematic participating vehicles donated by Bersant Recovery.

This year the concentration has been complemented with one more day, Saturday the 8th, since there were requests in previous years to make a route with our classics, but since the same day of the concentration was unfeasible due to lack of time, it was decided to add one more day for this purpose, so on the 8th a route through the roads and villages of the Alto Tajo Stopping for lunch in the municipality of Ocentejo, El Alegre bar. A route that had 300 km of travel where the engines of our classic vehicles were able to unleash all those desire for freedom that still keep their horses hidden under the plates that cover their engines.

In short, a full weekend where we can enjoy our love for these jewels, share pleasant moments with the rest of the members and attending fans, and waiting for next year where we will celebrate, with more success if possible but with the same or more enthusiasm, our X anniversary of the club.

To thank those present and collaborators mentioned above and the companies Bash, Aguas Font Vella, Talleres Juanvi, Talleres Opel, Top Medieval and Hermanos Moreno for their dedication and effort, hoping to have earned their trust to have them back in future celebrations. The first of them will be next October in the VIII Ciudad del Doncel classic motorcycle route. We wait!

Through the news from La Escudería, we will travel the winding roads of Maranello listening to the roar of the Italian V12; We will travel Route66 in search of the power of the great American engines; we will get lost in the narrow English lanes tracking the elegance of their sports cars; We will speed up the braking in the curves of the Monte Carlo Rally and we will even get dusty in a garage while rescuing lost jewels.
