The International Classic Vehicle Show in Madrid, ClassicAuto, which will be held from February 23 to 25 in the Casa de Campo glass pavilion, calls for one more edition of the car elegance and motorcycle restoration competitions. These are open to the participation of all fans who can present a vehicle according to the characteristics set out in each call.
Registration for both contests is free.
In 2018 we will celebrate the seventh edition of the Automobile Elegance Contest, which in this edition will be dedicated to manufactured cars before 1960 and without limitation in bodywork, so coupe, sedan, cabriolet, commercial finishes, etc. may participate in the contest.
All fans who have a classic car that conforms to the regulations of this edition of the contest will be able to participate in this contest, without having to be a great collector or restorer / marketer of historical vehicles.
The official registration period It opens from January 22 to February 19, so those interested in participating have the possibility of tuning their vehicles for the contest. The jury, which will be made up of technical specialists in classics, journalists, organization and sponsors, will assess the state of interior and exterior conservation, the historical value of the vehicle, the restoration, the staging in the parade, etc.
The participating cars will be exposed to the public at ClassicAuto Madrid and on the morning of Sunday, February 25, the deliberation of the jury, the parade and the awards ceremony will be held.
Motorcycle Restoration Contest
The Spanish-made Motorcycle Restoration Contest reaches its fourth edition in 2018, consolidated as a showcase of excellence, which reflects the meticulous work carried out by fans in the restoration process of a motorcycle.
On this occasion, the Motorcycle Restoration Contest is dedicated to units manufactured before 1972 and is structured around four categories: series, field, competition and moped. Participation in this contest is free and open to all fans and collectors, with no registration limit. In other words, the same participant may submit more than one motorcycle to the contest.
The jury, made up of a motorcycle specialist, an independent restorer, a journalist and a member of the organization, will assess the quality and difficulty of the restoration, which can be supported by photos, videos or other documents.
Like in the contest of elegance, the official registration period It opens from January 22 to February 19, so those interested in participating have the possibility to fine-tune their mounts for the contest. The jury's deliberations and the awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 24, in the afternoon. All participating motorcycles will be on display during the ClassicAuto Madrid celebration.
Classic Auto Madrid celebrates its ninth edition this coming February. A total of 20.000 square meters of commercial exhibition dedicated to the vehicle with history, with the participation of the main Spanish restorers and marketers and dozens of automotive exhibitors from our country, Portugal, Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, United Kingdom, ... . More than twenty different activities will complete the parallel program dedicated to the recognition of professionals in the segment and the enhancement of the classic engine.
