Classics at Chanoe: Mission Accomplished!

This Sunday it happened again, we couldn't believe it. The rain made an appearance again and also in a much more disturbing way than in January, with cold, storms and strong winds. The weather is not giving us a break but ...

What difference does it make as long as people respond!

And it is that on Sunday we again enjoyed the assistance of an unconditional public who did not hesitate to take their classics out of the garage to bring them to Classics in Chanoe. We counted a few dozen of them in the car parks, while inside the room there was a very lively atmosphere to the sound of the musical performance of Mahnuel Munoz.

As always, Thank you all!

The retro fair grows ...

The fair Retro continues to grow and does so thanks to the trust of restoration workshops of the stature of Felix Valladolid and suppliers of vintage objects such as Shadow-ya. Together with Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, the first flooded -literally- the car porches of the feline brand.

They were by no means the only entities in the vintage and retro vehicle sector present in Classics in Chanoe. We also have the presence of Premium Detail Garage, leader in treatments detailing, and Artistic Car, restoration workshop that did not hesitate to provide a beautiful -and rare- Renault Primaquatre van from the 30s.

The insurance companies did not miss the appointment either. Sergio Romagosa, SL, fashion and accessories firms Chik n 'rock y Fairy Creations, the decoration stall of cecilia, la Spanish Association of Sports Classics, the agency specialized in classics Louis Moreno, the biker shop BonnevilleMadrid, the retro products of Manuel Gallego, the ITVGo, the beautiful Manuel Sanzo illustration stall, the T-shirts of Jeinau Shirt, the cute thermal sachets and, in addition, the different points of restoration that provided the meats needed to recharge in front of the fireplaces on Chesterfield sofas from Chanoe.

A whole deployment of products and services "With patina" whose goal was to fill the hearts of the attendees on the day of Valentine's Day, that both men and women had their place in this new periodic monthly event that this time welcomed a pink Cadillac DeVille on loan from Love grease and the florist of Sarani.

The machines in the room

Workshop Felix Valladolid, that carries out restorations to the highest level, not only contributed part of the Jaguars from the porches but also brought a Rolls Royce Corniche convertible -o drop head coupe, as the English say- and a dinosaur 308 that we decided to exhibit in the main room of the room.

On the other side of it was a fearsome Hillman Super Minx Cobra, a quasi-unique specimen with which the Spanish driver Julio Gargallo raced between the 60s and 70s and that with his Ford engine of 4.7 liters and 250 hp not in vain was he qualified in his time of spawn ...

It is a coupe prepared informally by the English workshops shilton, with its corresponding shortened wheelbase and reinforced subframe, among other modifications, with respect to the series model - of which, incidentally, Rootes never made a coupe version.

A parking lot full of the brave

Outside was hell; as we said, a storm, a cold and a wind that pushed back the most painted. Not so to the owner of the Ferrari 512BB who briefly passed through the meeting or to the owner of the Mercedes 190 Evolution that appeared at the last minute; and of course not the Vespista who was the only biker in the meeting. It takes courage!

And there were others, many others, that in order not to get too long we have made protagonists in the photos: From the Seat and the Volkswagen to the BMW and the Mercedes, from the Renault to the Peugeot through the Alfa-Romeo and the Porsches, they did that a very gray day was filled with color.

That said, Thank you very much everyone and until March 13!

(Finally, we would also like to thank Bonneville Madrid and, of course, Carrefour and NH Ciudad de la Imagen Hotel for kindly giving up their parking lots.)

What do you think?
