McLaren MP4 / Ford F1 (1993)

Ford V8 engine, 3494cc and 700cv

After many tug of war with Ron Dennis, McLaren's boss, he finally convinced Senna to start the season in Kyalami (South Africa); then, for several races, he signed a contract by appointment, always with the threat of quitting, until finally both parties signed a contract until the end of the season.

During that time he had secretly met (so that Prost would not find out before getting the title) with Frank Williams and they had reached an agreement for 1994. At last these two characters would unite their destinies. They always had a good relationship since that first meeting in 1983.

In sports, Ayrton scored five great victories: One at Interlagos where, with the track still wet after having rained, he made a few turns on slick tires leaving everyone with their mouths open. Another at Donington Park, where again in the rain he passed the four cars ahead in a memorable first lap. His third and fourth triumphs took place in the Principality of Monaco and Suzuka. Finally, the one who will remain in the memory of all fans, in Adelaide, the last of the season, the last with his talisman team and, unfortunately, the last of his life.

Finally, as planned, Alain Prost won his fourth championship, remaining at that time as the second driver with the most titles in history behind the mythical Juan Manuel Fangio and before Michael Schumacher left the bar at seven and equaled him in 2013 Sebastian Vettel.
