AutoClassic Porto celebrates its XV edition from October 5 to 8 with a wide and varied program with which it hopes to surprise the thousands of Portuguese and Spanish fans who gather at the Exponor fair facilities each year. This year the show, one of the most important in the peninsula, will be structured into an Exhibition Zone, a Commercial Zone and an AutoClássico Motorshow Zone, the competition that runs parallel to the fair.

Organized by Engine Events, The contents include a series of tributes to different brands and models, among which the tribute that will be paid to the mythical brand stands out. Ferrari for its 70 years of existence. For this, a special stand will be reserved where some of the brand's most brilliant Italian sports cars will be exhibited, so that the public can contemplate different models launched on the market at different times.

In addition, in collaboration with Clube Scudería Rampante, a Ferrari rally will be held on Saturday 7, which will be one of the main attractions of a tribute that should attract all fans who admire the cavallinos.

In addition to Ferrari, BMW 7 Series, Lambretta and Fiat 500

AutoClassic Porto 2017 has also prepared other celebrations, with their respective stands, on the occasion of important events in the world of classics in this year 2017. Thus, a special stand dedicated to the BMW Serie 7 It will serve to honor the 40th anniversary of this model of the Bavarian house, where you can see different versions and their evolution. This exhibition, in collaboration with the BMW Auto Clube de Portugal, thus pays tribute to a car that has been from the outset a symbol of luxury, technology and elegance of the German manufacturer.

There will also be special exhibitions for the 70th anniversary of the lambretta, Emblematic scooter motorcycle of the 50s and 60s. Marketed to compete with Vespa (first open and then faired), the Innocenti company thus stood up to Piaggio.

At a prominent stand, fans will be able to admire models from various eras that will reflect their evolution until 1971, when it ceased to be manufactured. Although then the government of India lengthened its life buying all the production rights ...

On the other hand, one of the European reference cars, the FIAT Nova 500, turns 60. A stand will exhibit various models, in collaboration with the Fiat Clássicos Clube de Portugal. Another stand that will attract the attention of the public will be the exhibition of historic vehicles of the Republican National Guard, with the presence of two cars and two motorcycles, which will remind more than one fan of times past on the (Portuguese) roads.

The XV edition of the AutoClássico Motorshow, an exhibition integrated into the Porto Motor Show, will have more than fifty participants in this exciting test against the clock that takes place in parallel to the fair competition. This year the test will feature the outstanding presence of the Finnish driver Hannu Mikkola, world rally champion in 1983 with the revolutionary Audi Quattro, and runner-up in 1979, 1980 and 1984. He was the winner of 18 rounds in a total of 123 races held in the WRC, including 3 years of Rally de Portugal (1979, 1983 and 1984).

Fans will be able to enjoy the skills of this champion in battle with other drivers to set the best time on a track that has different types of grip and a change in elevation that, in a spectacular way, will cause the participating vehicles to jump in the air. for more spectator amusement.

Other regular events, such as the 16th Passeio de Clássicos de Citroën or the Rally Targa Clube / AutoClássico, are also scheduled for the days of the fair, which will extend the festive atmosphere of the classical world to the surroundings of Porto, as well as various concentrations.

Free parking of classics and large market

Given the success of previous editions, this year the free parking inside and protected for classic vehicle owners who drive to Exponor. The organization will reserve a special pavilion for these vehicles, which will thus have an area of ​​8.000 m / 2.

Fans will also be able to enjoy the 7.000 m / 2 market for parts and spare parts, books, vehicle documents, clothing, gifts, miniatures and all kinds of objects related to the world of classics, which different exhibitors will have for sale.
