El AutoClassic Alcañiz 2024 has closed its doors fully consolidated after its return to the calendar last year. In total, more than 8 thousand fans have visited the Alcañiz fairground between December 6 and 8 to enjoy a show that for this edition has brought together 90 exhibitors with different commercial proposals. Therefore, the offer has been more complete and was highly valued by the attendees.
As for the cars present, there were units of all kinds, from pre-war and top-level pieces to the ever-appreciated popular classics. In this way, it was possible to enjoy several Jaguars (MKII, Mark V and XK120), Mercedes-Benz “Pagoda”, Ford Mustang Eleanor, Volvo 121 Wagon, talbot samba Emelba Rally, Ferrari 512BB or Renault 5 Turbo 2 of competition, for example.
In addition, there was no shortage of different companies dedicated to parts, spare parts, miniatures, vintage objects, textiles, etc. Also present were the artists Jorge Brichette and José María Villafuerte who exhibited their work dedicated to the world of motorsport and competition. Individuals had their own space for the sale and purchase of vehicles with the Car Garage.
TRIBUTE TO RAMÓN MAGRIÑÀ IN AUTOCLASSIC ALCAÑIZ
One of the most exciting moments of the show was the Tribute paid to the Catalan collector Ramón Magriñà, who is closely linked to the Alcañiz fair, having participated in the first editions. During the event, Magriñà spoke at length about his time at the show and his passion for motors and classic cars.
Today, it has a collection of more than 60 cars from 35 different brands, a hundred motorcycles and an interesting selection of bicycles. For example, at the AutoClassic a 2 Aston Martin DB 4/1958 MKIII and a Yamaha RD 500.
In addition, The participation of entities such as FEVA has been counted on, the Royal Automobile Club Circuit of Guadalope (RACCG), the Federation of Interclubs of Classic Vehicles of Aragon, the Bajo Aragon Club of Antique Vehicles or MotorLand. There was also no shortage of Lancia, Alfa Romeo and Renault 4/4 clubs, among others. Collectors such as Ángel Martínez or Siro Lasanta brought some units from their collections.
PARALLEL ACTIVITIES
The RACCG sponsored the exhibition 'Single-make cups on the Alcañiz street circuit' which brought together a dozen racing cars that have participated in this type of tests since the 70s. In this exhibition we will see units of the Renault R8 TS, Renault 5 Copa, Fiat Autobianchi A112, SEAT Fura Crono, Volkswagen Polo, Renault 5 GT Turbo, Citroën AX Gti, ZX 16v and Saxo 16v and Porsche 968.
A Honda CB 400 Super Sport received the award of the Motorcycle Restoration Competition in the category of international manufacture. Among those assembled here, a Derbi Grand Sport 49 from the 60s. Finally, the classic car park once again became an exhibition in its own right at the entrance to the fairgrounds.
Without a doubt, an edition of the AutoClassic Alcañiz that represents the definitive consolidation of the show following its successful comeback last year.
