This weekend in Alcañiz: Festival and fair

Between October 25 and 27, that is, this weekend, the fourth edition of the Motorland Classic Festival. It will be held on the Aragonese circuit of the same name and its highlight will be the races of two of the most important vintage motorcycle championships on the international and European scene: the International Classic Grand Prix and European Classic Series, respectively.

It will not be everything. The organization expects about 500 motorized vehicles to attend, of which about 75 will be two-wheelers.

In addition to motorcycle races, there will be car races and other tests such as the II edition of the MotorLand Classic Festival regularity rally, coordinated by the Classic Motor Club del Bagés and which will cover more than 300 kilometers. Or like the celebration of the II edition of MotorLand Pedal Classic, dedicated to vintage bicycles and in which you can participate in beauty contests and a race on the same speed circuit, as well as taking walks around the track and playing games such as the tape.

On the other hand, a scale classic car slot rally will take place on the first floor of the pit building. Also, tributes to the figures of Pere Pi, the only Spanish champion of speed, motocross and trial, who will participate in a round table in which they will talk about the beginnings of the industry and competition in Spain; and the recently deceased Manel Segarra, one of the best Moto Guzzi trainers on the old continent.

Finally, there will be a tribute to the Montesa brand with an exhibition, and there will be amateur clubs, trials -both motorcycles and bicycles-, an exhibition of old karts -scheduled for Sunday-, concerts and, of course, children's games for little fans who get tired of gasoline, at least as adults understand it.

You can check the schedules of the different activities by clicking here The entrance is free, as well as the parking space in the paddock and the entrance to the parade on the track on Sunday - two laps, which must be registered in advance at the paddock office - for all those who come with their vehicle classic.

Only those fans who want to ride in the scheduled batches in any of the complex circuits will have to pay: speed, karting and offroad. Unfortunately, we do not know if it is still possible to register, although, if you feel like it, we encourage you to try it contacting those responsible for the organization. The same thing happens with the Classic pedal,, but luckily not with him regularity rally, to which it is still possible to sign up.

Parallel activities

Complementing the Classic Festival, and vice versa, will be held in the same town of Alcañiz the XIX edition of AutoClassic, fair of approximately 2.650 m2 and 88 exhibitors.

One more year, this event organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Teruel and dedicated to the world of the historic motor will once again gather in its facilities classic, national and imported vehicles, motorcycles, parts to restore, specialized magazines, miniatures, books, accessories and fan clubs. It seems there will be a good squad of spare parts; if you want more information about this fair please click here.

All those who participate in any festival track activity and club members who present their valid card at the box office will have a 50% discount on the ticket price. Finally, the most nostalgic people will like to know that AutoClassic will conclude with the laps that will be given by several vehicles of the Bajo Aragón Club of Antique Vehicles of Alcañiz through the old urban layout of Guadalope, starting at 17:00 p.m. on Sunday.
