As every year, September marks the end of summer and its much-needed vacations, and although for a large majority of the population they suffer from post-vacation stress, from LA ESCUDERÍA we want to put a positive note to the end of the summer season, which brings to the fans the reopening of the Alcalá de Henares Motorcycle Museum.
This modern and spacious space dedicated to nationally produced motorcycles has been one of the most recent additions to the list of Spanish museums focused on the history of vehicles, since it was inaugurated in 2021, and has become A must-see for enthusiasts visiting the capital or the World Heritage city itself where the collection is located.
A MUSEUM TO VINDICATE THE ROLE OF THE SPANISH MOTORCYCLE
The Alcalá de Henares Motorcycle Museum houses a large collection of motorcycles of all kinds, but with one common characteristic: they have all been manufactured in Spain, reviewing a time in the history in which the country's industry was a leader in this sector, with brands such as Ossa, Bultaco, Montesa and a long etceteraSomething that would begin to change with the arrival of Japanese motorcycles.
A large part of the museum is also dedicated to motor racing, with some of the bikes and equipment of the riders who made history on the circuits. For these reasons The visit is much more advisable with a guide, to be able to know all the details and secrets that each of the units on display has to tell.
The museum, located at 7 Calle Rusia in Alcalá de Henares, is open on Fridays from four to eight in the afternoon, while on Saturdays and Sundays it is also open in the morning, from ten in the morning to two in the afternoon, and then continues from four to eight in the afternoon on Saturdays, and on Sundays the closing time is brought forward one hour.
